Im just wondering if there is a “tech time” allowance being applied like the previous generation (Probably the one you were a kid) had a certain allowable TV time. The usual punishment might have included the “NO TV”

I’M ALSO CURIOUS IF PARENTS ARE ABLE TO APPLY SOME FORM OF “PARENTAL APPLIED RECOGNITION AND CORRECTIVE ACTION TO BENEFIT AND RESULT IN A SUCCESSFUL MODIFICATION TO AN UNDESIRABLE BEHAVIOR, IN A POSITIVE WAY AND AVOID EXPOSURE TO EMOTIONALLY CONFRONTATION AND ACCUSATIONS OF WRONG DOING RESULTING IN ANY DEPRIVATION THROUGH PUNISHMENT.”
Wow! I would like to think I was way beyond exaggerating, I’m afraid that its possibly accurate. A SIMPLE TIME OUT CAN NOW BE CONSIDER A FORM OF EXCLUSIONARY EMOTIONAL DAMAGE… LOL SOUNDS RIDICULOUS AND EXAGGERATED, BUT IS IT?
HOW ABOUT THIS AS A NEW PUNISHMENT-(BENEFIT)
—FOR THE NEXT WEEK YOU HAVE TO MEET UP WITH YOUR FRIENDS AND DO WHATEVER AS LONG AS NO ELECTRONIC DEVICES ARE AROUND AND PREFERABLY YOUR ACTIVITIES REMAIN OUTDOORS. INDOOR ACTIVITY DURING THIS PUNISHMENT MUST BE APPROVED FIRST. LOL
POSSIBLY INCLUDE SOME PHYSICAL ACTIVITY, LIKE ROLLERBLADE, BIKE RIDING, OR HOW ABOUT EVEN HIDE A SEEK? TAG? KNOCK AND RUN?
IT JUST HAS BEEN SOMETHING THAT I’VE OBSERVED OR ACTUALLY NO LONGER IS SEEN- KIDS ACTUALLY OUT SIDE, SOCIALLY ENGAGED, AND NOT ELECTRONICALLY DEPENDENT.
Try and remember what you experienced as a child what the world was like and than do a comparison to what the children today are “not living” in. It’s fine that they are tech savvy and doing well in school……… HOW ARE THEY DOING IN THE OUTSIDE WORLD? THE UNSTRUCTURED, UNFORGIVING, UNSYMPATHETIC, REAL LIFE WORLD THAT REQUIRES SOCIAL SKILLS, HONEST AND REALISTIC AWARENESS OF ACHIEVEMENT NOT ACCEPTANCE. (THIS IS REALITY… IT’S HARD FOR ME TO TYPE IT AND I’M SURE IT IS HARD TO ACCEPT READING IT) BUT, IT IS UNFAIR TO LET THESE CHILDREN BE DISILLUSIONED AND DEPRIVED OF ESSENTIAL LIFE SKILLS THAT CERTAIN EXPERIENCES (GOOD AND BAD) ARE REQUIRED DURING THAT PORTION OF BRAIN DEVELOPMENT WHICH PERMANENTLY BE APPLIED THROUGHOUT THIER LIFE.
