Why is it that time SEEMS to “fly by” or pass quickly when we are experiencing anything enjoyable? While time SEEMS to drag, or stand still during negative or undesirable experiences?
PSYCHOLOGY, OR ANY OTHER “PROFESSIONAL” EXPLANATIONS ASIDE—!!!!!!!!
NO DISRESPECT TO THE THEORY OF RELATIVITY…..
This post is for people to apply time in a way that it can be relevant to them…
THIS IS FOR YOU TO QUESTION! NOT FOR ANYTHING OR ANYONE TO EXPLAIN!
First, ask why “time” is generally a constant , yet experienced inconsistent and irrelevant to the “common known” ?(1 minute of calculated time, is no indication of a consciously experienced minute in time!)
Hope I haven’t lost anyone…… I’m trying to make it simple…. IT ACTUALLY IS SIMPLE!!
It’s just a matter of your ACTIVE PARTICIPATION that makes the perception of time either longer or shorter…. Thats why “bad, negative, unpleasant” moments SEEM longer—– It is because you are ACTIVELY engaged in those moments to PROTECT AND STOP them—–
During times of “safe, enjoyable, or non-conflicted” experiences, we do not need to be completely conscious and aware beyond what is necessary- it’s like (auto-pilot)—- Our brain is designed to be efficient lol
SO! JUST QUESTION, OR BE AWARE IF/WHEN YOU MAY BE ON (AUTO-PILOT), AND ALSO KNOW YOU CAN DECIDE WHEN YOU WANT TO BE ENGAGED, AS WELL AS TO THE EXTENT. SOME/MOST THINGS DON’T REQUIRE OR NEED SUCH ACTIVE CONSCIOUS EFFORT, SOME AUTOMATICALLY FORCE IT, AND THERE ARE THE OTHER MOMENTS THAT DON’T REQUIRE IT, BUT WOULD BE NICE FOR US TO ACTIVELY PARTICIPATE IN FULLY.
LET AUTO PILOT DO ITS JOB FOR TEDIOUS AND WORTHLESS TASKS, BUT DON’T LET AUTO PILOT MAKE YOU MISS OUT ON THE MORE DESIRABLE MOMENTS.
