SINCE WE HAVE OUR INDEPENDENCE DAY COMING

Since our Independence Day is coming up and we celebrate. There are a few things I would like you to consider. Most of which was probably not taught to you in school, or at least fully explained so that you have a understanding of what is involved in our independence. Which, call me crazy I feel is important if you going to celebrate something that you probably do not know.

I’m not a radical person or into politics, and even I just became aware of this information recently that I found to be very interesting. More importantly however interesting it is I found it’s important for people to understand and realize the significance of it. For me personally after reading and understanding it, I have a different view on things.

In general, I have a different view when people complain about certain things, particularly their current leadership and government. Like I said I do not get involved in politics but researching it is interesting. This brings me to our celebration on July 4 Independence Day, that most people who celebrate it I am sure have some grievances complaints are unhappy with “certain things”…….. But they will celebrate their independence while being non-independent….

Anyway, some interesting reading for the upcoming celebration of our independence day, and a reminder of what it stands for and means.

IN CONGRESS, July 4, 1776.

The unanimous Declaration of the thirteen united States of America,

When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.–That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, —That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.

RANDOM HISTORY INFORMATION UPDATE

It is amazing how much history that was not taught to us in school. I MUST MENTION THE SCHOOL DISTRICT I WENT TO RANKS VERY HIGH, NOT ONLY NATIONALLY, BUT EVEN LOCALLY….which is SCARY!!!

I’m not even talking about ancient history…. Just the last 200-300 years or more specifically on this post – “The Revolutionary War”

There is so much more I have learned since school that has not only expanded to my general history knowledge but has also corrected some of what was taught. Even today I learned something new.

****OF COURSE I UNDERSTAND THAT WE CAN NOT BE 100% ON ALL DETAILS –

ANYWAY, THIS IS GOING TO TALK ABOUT THE PAUL REVERE STORY that we all learned about or heard about (I think)…I’ll admit that I only remember the name and something to do with him riding around to let the colonists know the “English are coming” and something to do with the lantern indicating 1 if by land 2 if by sea or (whatever) —- Again, I don’t remember the details of this “story” that was taught in elementary school……

Well, it seems that most of the story contains more false information than true information. Yes, He was given a message to inform Lexington and Concord of the British , only he was not shouting or informing people during this historic ride (There were still loyalists as well as British sentinels) so he couldn’t go shouting it out and risk being stopped. Plus there was also another person that was given the same message, and cause, only a different route to insure that the message was delivered.. I never learned this in school or even heard of his name (William Dawes) was the other midnight ride carrier of this message. ———Oh there is even more interesting information on this ONE night in history that include a 3rd person, and interesting story to the ride back…. but I’ll let you look it up and not spoil it ……..

One other name relevant to this moment in history and I think should be more commonly known is Sybil Ludington. A 16yr old girl who also went on a historical ride to rally the militia and inform them that the British were burning Danbury Connecticut.

She rode 40 miles (24 more than Revere)

History repeats itself (quote Revised) !!!!!!!

Historical Insanity “history repeats itself”

A revision shouldn’t even be necessary to a quote that clearly states it’s meaning.

” If  people continue to say that history repeats itself, at what point will humanity understand the simplicity of this by trying something new”

” If history repeats itself than we clearly have failed to evolve past creating a language that describes this behavior as insanity, yet hasn’t figured out how to stop it.

The whole 9 yards (fact)

I’m sure many people are familiar with that phrase. “The whole 9 yards”. But I wonder how many people actually know where that saying comes from. I thought it had something to do with football lol

actually it is referring to the us navy hellcat fighter airplane that had 6 .50cal guns which the ammunition belt loaded onto it contained 400 rounds and the belt was 9 yards in length.

So if I pilot unloaded all he had into a target or enemy plane he was giving them the “whole 9 yards”
